Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 2026

This document outlines the policies for the Jodi app, owned and operated by Namma Vishwakarma Enterprises.

Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility

To register as a member of Jodi or use this app, you must be of legal marriageable age as per the laws of India (18+ years). Membership is primarily reserved for the Vishwakarma community.

2. Platform Role & Intermediary

Jodi is a mobile application owned and operated by Namma Vishwakarma Enterprises. We act as an 'Intermediary' as defined under Section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000. We provide an interface for users to voluntarily search for matrimonial alliances. We do not authenticate, endorse, or verify any profile information independently.

3. Communication Policy

Jodi does not provide in-app chat or internal messaging features. All communication is initiated by the user via external system intents (native Dialer or WhatsApp) using contact details explicitly shared for matrimonial purposes. Users are advised to exercise caution when communicating externally.

4. Registration & Security

Users must provide true and accurate information, including recent photos. Registration of duplicate profiles is prohibited. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials (MPIN/Biometrics) and restricting access to your device. We never ask for your password or MPIN via call/SMS.

5. Content and Member Conduct

Use of the platform for dating, friendship, or commercial gain is strictly prohibited. Misuse, harassment, or posting inappropriate content will lead to immediate account suspension without refund.

6. Content Rights

By submitting content or photos to Jodi, you grant Namma Vishwakarma Enterprises a license to use and display such information for the purpose of providing and promoting our matchmaking services.

7. Member Responsibilities

Users are mandated to independently verify the background, marital status, and credentials of any match. Jodi is not liable for misrepresentations or misconduct. Users are advised to involve family and friends before finalizing alliances.

8. Jurisdiction & Disputes

All disputes arising from the use of Jodi services shall be governed by the laws of India and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Child Safety Standards

9. Zero Tolerance Policy for CSAE

Namma Vishwakarma Enterprises and the Jodi app maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). We strictly prohibit the creation, distribution, or promotion of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Any user found violating this policy will be permanently banned from the platform, and their details will be reported to the appropriate law enforcement agencies (NCB/Cyber Cell).

10. Child Safety Reporting

As the app does not feature in-app chat, all user interactions are profile-based. Users can report any concerns related to child safety or suspicious activity involving minors using the in-app 'Report Profile' button available on every User Profile screen or by emailing our Child Safety Point of Contact at safety@nmvk.in. All reports are investigated with the highest priority.

Privacy Policy

11. Information We Collect

We collect personal details (Name, Gender, DOB, Gothra, Education, Occupation), contact info (Phone Number), and identity documents (Aadhaar/PAN for KYC). We also collect device metadata for authentication, security, and fraud prevention.

12. Data Usage & Sharing

Your data is used to provide matchmaking services, verify identity, and prevent fraud. We do not sell or share your personal contact information (like phone numbers) with external third parties for their independent marketing purposes.

13. Data Retention

As per the IT Rules 2021 (Govt of India), we are legally mandated to retain user logs, IP addresses, and identity records for at least ONE YEAR after an account is deleted or deactivated to assist law enforcement agencies if required.

14. Account Deletion

Users can request to delete their account in-app or via our support channels. Alternatively, you can request account deletion via our website at: https://www.nmvk.in/delete-account.php. Deletion will remove your profile from public view immediately, subject to the legal retention requirements mentioned in Section 13.

15. Security Precautions

We implement industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your data. However, users are responsible for using secure devices and not sharing MPINs.
